I’m Masafumi.
Masafumi, translated into English, means “General (Shogun) History”.
Perhaps my parents expected me to become a history maker.
But I’m mediocre.
Only a name.
I’m Japanese and living in Tokyo.
I work as a video editor and narrator for a company.
I watch movies and draw pictures and walk in my free time.
My list of favorite films is endless, but if I had to name a favorite director, it would be David Lynch.
I am always amazed at the way he perceives the world.
One of the reasons I admire him so much is that despite his great talent, he has chosen to become semi-retired from the commercial world in order to pursue his own art.
I am working on this site to become an artist like him who is not bound by commercial interests.
In the future we will be more free.
We will be able to do what we want to do without depending on a company.
My strength is that I look at myself objectively and my weakness is that I turn my back on things I don’t understand.
To overcome my weakness, I will interact with people as if they were me in another parallel universe.
I must also learn history, take a serious look at the present, and think about the future.
I believe these choices will facilitate my awakening.
